Loving the numbers

With work, a meeting for my clinic and then drinks with some people I worked on the campaign with, it is looking like my schedule today is going to conspire to keep me from running today. That’s fine. I got four miles in yesterday so if I do five the rest of the week and eleven for the long run I’ll still make my mileage goal of thirty.

I am big on number goals; I like setting them and I love reaching them. I love seeing the numbers stack up in my training log, so it shouldn’t surprise you that when I saw the million meter challenge on the concept 2 site I was totally intrigued. A million meters is a long way (roughly 621 miles) and with rowing as a crosstraining activity I only plan on doing twice a week, it would take years to get there… but man am I tempted to take it on.
