Tell us a little about the race.

Great weather (7 degrees C) minimal wind, and a very supportive crowd. Very flat course with a few minor hills.

5 plus the marathon

No

no

Did speed work play a role or specific workouts play a role in your training? If so, how?

Yes. Helped improve cadence, and made it easier to practice different paces.

Any other thoughts you would like to share with those of working towards a BQ?

Make sure to properly fuel. I didn’t eat enough the two days before the race and I bonked. Bananas are your best friend.
