At which marathon did you get your first BQ?
Seattle Marathon
Tell us a little about the race.
First marathon. About 30 degrees F and sunny. Very fun race that gives you killer hills around mile 19 til mile 24. A great way to discourage anyone that’s hitting the wall at the end. The 3:05 pacer caught up to me around mile 21. That gave my competitive side a nice push to not let him get ahead.
How long had you been running when you ran your first BQ?
2 years 2 months
Did you run in college or high school?
No
What was your approximate lifetime mileage at the time of your first BQ?
1600
How many miles did you run in the year before your first BQ?

Did speed work play a role or specific workouts play a role in your training? If so, how?
No. Didn’t do any.
Any other thoughts you would like to share with those of working towards a BQ?
