Training Totals: 5/1/2011

RECAP: This past week was the best week of running I have had in a very long time. For the first time since February, I hit fifty miles for the week and though my legs were tired, the left foot didn’t hurt too much. It is definitely spring here and I am feeling optimistic about the year.

This week I also received a Garmin as a late wedding present. What a difference it has made already. It is much easier for me to control my speed, and it has shown me that I was slightly over estimating the distance of some of my runs. I think the freedom to just go wherever I want is going to break up the tedium of the miles and I am looking forward to getting even more lost on the trails of Prospect Park in the coming months.
