Well, that’s that. I am not running New York this year, looks like I’ll be doing the Hartford Marathon after all.

Yeah, I ran the Hartford Half Marathon a couple of years ago and it was a good experience (no New York, but not bad). I’m just going to have to come up with a strategy to deal with the boredom of empty miles since Hartford has much smaller crowds.
How many years have you tried to get in? I’ve heard you only need to try for 3 years and then you automatically get in. I’ve heard Hartford is cool too, and just think, you won’t have to pay for a hotel!
Sorry to hear you have to work through June, but I can certainly understand. I took out a loan to pay for expenses during the bar and then it took a while to pay it off, it sucked!
This is my second year in a row trying to get in, so next year I should get in for sure! And yeah, more debt just didn’t sound very inviting, especially in this economy, it will be an awful summer, but it’ll be over soon!
Did you go on a bar trip or anything after you took yours?
