So it has been a long, long while since I have done an update. Recently a couple of people have asked about it, and I just came off the biggest training week of my life, so I figured what the hell.
As some of you may know, I am training for the Philly marathon. My goal is to run it in under four hours. Recently, I ran the Hartford Half Marathon in 1:46:25. That predicts a sub four marathon if I can hold it together. My training has been all over the place this fall with some great weeks and some not so great weeks, but this week ruled.
Here are the numbers:
Monday – 11.5 in 1:51:12
Tuesday – 8 in 1:15:09
Wednesday – 8 in 1:08:57
Thursday – 4.5 in 39:36
Friday – 4.5 in 38:45
Saturday – 4.5 in 38:57
Sunday – 22 in 3:34:03
That’s 63 miles in 9:46:39. By far the most I have ever run in a week, and amazingly, I felt strong at the end of that 22 miler. Maybe I can do this, maybe someday soon I will actually be a runner.
