25,000 Hits

Sometime over the weekend, Milo and the Calf received its 25,000th hit. The vast majority of those hits have been to the Boston Qualifying Questionnaire responses with Abe M being the most popular male and Kristy from Run the Long Road being the most popular female.  I haven’t added any new entries to the BQ(Q) in some time, mainly because I have run out of people to ask.  If you know someone who has a BQ, or have one yourself, please get in touch at miloandthecalf at gmail.  These questionnaires seem to be filling a need in the running community, your story could help someone else meet their goal.

Other than the BQ(Q), the hits are a mixed bag.  Posts  about the protest at the 1972 New York Marathon, the bad behavior of some New York City cyclists, the inspirational story of every-man marathon champ Phil Coppess, and the fitness habits of disgraced generals are all popular.  Of less interest are the quotations from Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations and the training totals.  No big surprise there.  The quotes from Marcus are really for my own edification and the training totals are a necessary evil (and one I am behind in doing).  Sorry, but they’ll continue.

I’m terribly pleased with how well received the BQ(Q) has been. It’s a project I hope to continue.  Please add your voice.  For the rest of this website, expect more, and a wider range, of posts in the coming months.  I have a lot of things I want to discuss, and they aren’t all about running.  Here’s to the next 25,000 visitors!
