RECAP: This is the second week in a row over forty miles, this time with only five days of running. My legs are exhausted, but I feel good about the progress. Also for the second week in a row I took a rest day. I am not sure how much longer I’ll be taking a weekly rest day but for now, it feels like the right thing to do.
On the cross training front, weather and scheduling prohibited me from riding my bike to work. Oh well, I’m not going to sweat that. I did find time for core work and push ups which I feel good about, my back has been bothering me lately, but after just a couple of seasons on the yoga mat, I feel better. I feel an almost physical craving for stretching and bodyweight work lately, I am definitely going to fit in more of that.
This week is the week of my wedding, and the last week of the build up cycle. For my honeymoon next week, I plan to cut back pretty drastically, but still run. On the beach. In the Caribbean. I can’t wait.
Ok, the numbers.
