Reflection: And at the ten day mark, fail. We were prepping a witness today from 11-3 and they ordered in lunch. Fuck it, chicken sandwich. A better man then me would have resisted, I’m sure. But the flesh is weak.

Again tomorrow, I guess.

Ran home from work and it was still light outside when I got home. Spring is in the air.

62 Day Challenge Day 9: Accumulated Fatigue

Day 9 done, 53 days to go.

Reflection: Push-ups were tough today, took almost twice as long as usual, run was slow and I was sore from the get go. I think the accumulating fatigue is starting to get to me. Plan is, the body eventually gets used to the load. We’ll see.

I’m really enjoying the mediation and upped it today to ten minutes. I’m going to try to keep to that. More on this aspect of the challenge in a separate post.

Fruit till noon sucks. It may be the part of this I quit.

Day 8 done, 54 days to go.

Reflection: I’m starting to really like Monday nights. 3 miles, very easy, on the treadmill then push-ups, some light weight lifting, and some stretching. All very easy, all very enjoyable. Reminds me why I love the gym.

Eating is going… ok. I find the fruit in the morning a struggle and am caving to my comfort food, chips, way too often. Time to change that.

Damn, what a day. Little dude refused to sleep last night so I missed my expected early morning long ride, meaning I had to squeeze a variety of exercise into nap time and after bedtime. It made for a late night of cycling, but its done. Ten hours of exercise for the week.

Reflection: I’m writing this on the Monday because I just couldn’t face sitting down at the computer this weekend to update this project. Weekends here and I’m stoked to eat whatever the fuck I want. Kinda stoked to be looking at 6+ hours of exercise over two days, got a good effort of three hours today, but tomorrow’s going to be tough.

Reflection: I’m writing this on the Monday because I just couldn’t face sitting down at the computer this weekend to update this project. Honestly, these daily updates are a pain in the ass. Going to keep trying to do it, but there’s a real chance I’ll switch it up to weekly updates at some point.

 

Little dude refused to sleep last night, and I missed my morning work-out. I’m going into the weekend with a very serious hill to climb to make it to ten hours for the week. I’ve really got to plan better during the week. Regardless, another day of the daily goals done. ONWARD!

62 Day Challenge Day 3: Barely squeaking by

This is late. Get used to it.

Reflection:  At about noon, I realized I was going to be working late, so I started doing loops around the office and after the place started to clear out about 6:30, I started doing push-ups next to my desk. When it was time to leave, at about 8 pm, I walked to the further subway station. It was a gorgeous night. Steps and push-ups got done. Barely, but they got done. No other exercise though, which is going to put some pressure on the ten hours goal. Still time to make it up.

62 Day Challenge Day 2: The Health Benefits of a Frozen Cheese Burrito

Reflection: Started the day with five very early miles with Taitdogg, followed by push-ups and mediation. All done before 7 am. At my age, I prefer to get the exercise done early, but my kid has an unpredictable sleep schedule so these days are rare.

Still struggling with the morning calories. I started the day with two bananas, but that wasn’t enough and once again I ended up paying for over priced midtown fruit. Gotta bring shit with me next time. Dinner is an embarrassment, but whatever.

62 Day Challenge Day 1: Working out the Kinks

Reflection: Day 1 and we’re working out the kinks. Definitely don’t have any idea how much fruit I need to stay full till lunch. Hence the Pret run and poor lunch choice. Exercise was a chill recovery day, mediation was just like everyone says… five minutes is a long time.
